Meet the cast of Titanique
Meet the cast of Titanique
Written by an Olivier award-winning team, Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli, and Tye Blue, Titanique is a splash hit musical parody that has been taking the theatre world by (sea)storm. The eleven-time Oscar-winning film Titanic is retold by Canadian songstress Céline Dion. The story takes audiences on an outrageously funny journey (with only a few minor collisions), but who will be making the expedition across the North Atlantic ocean on the unsinkable ship?
Who plays Céline Dion?
Taking the lead of deck-loving diva and Canadian superstar Céline Dion is Astrid Harris. Harris reprises the role, having played Dion in the Paris production. She’s no stranger to cruises either, having starred as the Lead Vocalist for Silversea Cruises. On shore, she has performed in Roles We’ll Never Play (Union Theatre) and Spooktacular Spectacular (The Other Palace). Her solo show, Decades of Divas has been seen by thousands of people in over 30 countries.
Who plays Cal?
Richard Carson takes on the role of the arrogant antagonist, Cal. A leading man on the London West End, his past credits include Sky in MAMMA MIA! (Novello Theatre), Cover Javert in Les Misérables (Sondheim Theatre) and Maxim de Winter in the UK premiere of Rebecca (Charing Cross Theatre).
Who plays Jack?
Playing the lovesick lead (with the swoon-worthy hair) is Luke Bayer. His theatre credits include Alternate Jamie in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Original West End Cast – Apollo Theatre), Mark in RENT (Hope Mill Theatre) and Nick Carraway in Gatsby (Southwark Playhouse). Bayer also performed in the Les Misérables 20th Anniversary performance (Sondheim Theatre).
Who plays Rose?
Hiba Elchikhe plays fellow lovesick lead (and owner of the infamous heart of the ocean, which can be seen dangling from the theatre’s ceiling), Rose. Elchikhe starred opposite her future Jack in Millenials (The Other Palace) and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (it’s like it was written in the stars). She also starred in the world premiere production of Here and Now The Steps Musical (The Alexandra, Birmingham) and The Time Traveler’s Wife (Apollo Theatre).
Who plays The Iceberg?
Taking on the role of The Iceberg (yes, it’s a role in the show and an iconique one at that) is Tosh Wanogho-Maud. A staple in the West End, Wanogho-Maud’s previous credits include Young Simba in The Lion King (Lyceum Theatre), Mutumbo in The Book of Mormon (Prince of Wales Theatre) and Jimmy “Thunder” Early in Dreamgirls (Savoy Theatre).

Titanique The Musical Review: Did the Show Sink or Swim?
The film is over 25 years old now, so Leo has obviously lost interest—but thankfully, Céline Dion has not!
The show kicks off at a Titanic Museum, whereby a mystery-witch figure interrupts the tour to dramatically whip off her bin-bag hood to reveal herself as none other than Céline Dion, claiming to have survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic over 100 years ago. (I will personally be writing a complaint to Titanic Belfast because the attraction was severely lacking in the Céline department when I went last summer!)
